Carole Bouquet walks the red carpet in Singapore and presents her retrospective

Carole Bouquet has appeared in more than 40 films since 1977, with her most internationally well-known role being Bond girl Melina Havelock in the 1981 James Bond movie For Your Eyes Only. She had also won a César for Best Actress at the Cannes Film Festival for her role in Trop Belle Pour Toi. Carole Bouquet is also a former model and was chosen to be the face of Chanel in the 1980s. She will be in Singapore for the film retrospective segment of the festival, which showcases five of her most iconic French films. Do not miss her introducing Grosse Fatigue (Dead Tired) on Thursday 08 December at 6.30pm and Travaux, on sait quand ça commence… (Works) on Friday 09 December at 5pm, both at the Alliance Française de Singapour.

Beloved (Les Bien-Aimés) is as much a family epic that covers 43 years, from 1964 to 2007 as it is a musical and a romance. The film weaves in and out of the lives of mother, Madeleine and daughter Vera. Crossing different eras and cities, from Paris to Prague in the 60s, London to Montreal in the 90s and early 2000s, the film has Madeleine and her daughter Vera coming in and out of the lives of the men they love. But not every era allows us to love blithely and lightheartedly as the freedom of the 60s makes way for a more cautious future.

Directed by French director, Christophe Honoré, Beloved (Les Bien-Aimés) stars both Catherine Deneuve and her daughter Chiara Mastroianni.
